The OMP’s Rising Tides Concert featured, among other works, Alberto Ginastera’s Pampeana No. 2. Pictured above, a young cellist from Salem, OR, Koyuki Blaumer, gave a phenomenal performance as the soloist for the demanding piece. Caroline Shaw composed In manus tuas, (In your hands), based on a 16th century motet by Thomas Tallis. Shaw won the Pulitzer prize for Music in 2013 for her composition, Partita for 8 Voices. She was the youngest person to ever win the prize. Her 2011 composition, Entr’acte, was a featured work in the Oregon Mozart Players’ February 2026 concert, After & Before.
